It’s Not So Bad
Many find winters in the Pacific Northwest winter a bit dreary – mild but lots of gray, gray days. While I understand the feeling I have, being a native Oregonian, come to find a lot of comfort and energy from the winter doldrums. The weather is not really tempting me out so I find that the years’ early months are perhaps my most productive. Standing at the studio windows I can keep track of the birds, the garden (I’ve already seen some shoots of green), and one often naughty beagle. Should cabin fever get the best of me the temperatures to not force me to stay in. (Note to my friends in the midwest and northeast: I am not gloating…………really!) Anyway, thought you might like to see some of my most recent work. Come April I have other plans – in the garden!
